I swore to myself that I wasn’t going to feature any clown-themed jack-in-the-boxes. Too boring – after all, most jack-in-the-box toys are based on clowns, and creepy ones at that. But check out this one with glowing eyes and monkey-like visage! Aieeee!!

This toy also has glowing eyes, but features a devil face.

I’m not sure why this Phantom of the Opera jack-in-the-box creeps me out so much. I enjoy the musical but it doesn’t scare me at all.

This isn’t exactly a jack-in-the-box, it’s a tiny jewelry charm in the shape of a jack-in-the-box. Open it and a skull or demon pops out. Thought to be circa 1900.

Of course, since I love The Nightmare Before Christmas so much, this is my favorite Jack-in-the-box, but it’s decorative, not functional.
