Coming in November – just in time for the spooky season – a new Tarot deck from the author of the beloved Night Circus book, Erin Morgenstern! She painted the illustrations for the cards herself using acrylic paint. A writer who can paint – she’s multi-talented!
The Phantomwise Tarot is a 78-card deck of black and white cards inspired by fairy tales, the circus, Wonderland, and dark mythology.
There are ravens, cats, black and white stripes and swirls, circus performers and some Egyptian mythology too.
The deck is based on the standard Ryder-Waite format, and its Minor Arcana suits include Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles.
Interestingly, the deck suggests a Celestial spread layout for your Tarot readings, involving a nautical theme: Ship, Sextant, Evening Star, North Star, Morning Star, and The Far Shore (as your destination). Love this!
